IAPB
Web Design & Development
The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) is an alliance of civil society organisations, corporate and professional bodies promoting eye health through advocacy, knowledge and partnerships. IAPB’s mission is to eliminate the main causes of avoidable blindness and visual impairment.

IAPB
The redesign of the recently launched IAPB website was by far the biggest project I worked on. A simple website crawl revealed the magnitude of the content I had to take into consideration when migrating to the new platform (there were over 38.000 existing pages!). It was clear the user journey needed to be simplified. After a close collaboration with the lovely IAPB team, the sitemap was finally updated and the content was ready for design implementation.
A few of the unique features the new IAPB website brought to the table included an extensive document library containing around 1.000 digital documents from the eye health world, advanced search facility, AA accessibility tools, automatic translation, animated infographics, interactive JavaScript charts, MailChimp form integration, exclusive membership access and an advanced event calendar.
The responsive design of the new IAPB website came packed with a plethora of back-end functionality that made IAPB’s team a lot easier in managing content. Details like old links SEO-friendly redirection, SSL migration, the website’s XML sitemap, or social media integration were included in the final delivered product.
THE CLIENT IS ALWAYS RIGHT
“ Georgia, may I just say that you killed it I think the docs pages look great. The maps work!
All good — the best start to my day in a long time — thank you! ”
